An interesting place to visit. The experimental decommissioned equipment was cool to see and read about. Be prepared to have a background check unless you have a military id.

Some interesting artillery pieces from around the globe, dating back about 100 years. A couple pieces were missing, but it's interesting to see some of the more odd-ball designs that didn't make it past the prototype stage. If you want to kill 30 minutes on base, definitely worth a gander.

Beautiful history located in the heart of Rock Island Arsenal. Not open to public without a visitor pass. Visitor passes obtained easily at the main gate.
