The service is pretty good here. When I arrived this past week I was told my buddy Travis was only working the weekends as he got a new job. It won't be the same for me without Travis.

The stay here was ok. There was no view, the rooms were just ok, the included breakfast was nice. It was all just ok. I think what's missing at this hotel is the attention to detail, as any hotel guest knows, it's all about the details. Case in point, the lock inside the door of the hotel room was low enough my toddler could reach it and unlock it, meaning if he woke up he could just unlock the door and walk out. How much can you sleep knowing your toddler can escape easily? Me not so much. Another example was the oily hand prints and oily hair area marks on the headboard when we arrived, which I cleaned when I got there, and I couldn't swim in the pool because there were hairballs in it, nasty, but it's all these details that really could be addressed that make it feel like a sub-par stay. I will say the location is excellent and the staff was always helpful.

As travel nurse I stayed there for 3 weeks and had a wonderful experience.All the staff were really good, friendly and very professional. Hotel is very clean. Highly recommended especially if you need to stay in an extended period of time in Marion/Cedar Rapids.

The hotel world has obviously changed quite a bit since CoVid however Marriott and this Towneplace location did a great job! I received my electronic key the day of our arrival and had no issues. The room was extremely clean, the temperature controls worked very well and overall our stay was amazing! Only odd thing was we never saw anyone at the front desk - though I am sure they were just busy.
