Awful awful ppl. Rent increases, charging for the simplest repair, lack of communication, cheap, etc. Just unbelievably awful. Don't rent from them. I inherited this batch of scammers and I loathe the day. Don't believe the 5 stars, they are definitely posers and plants, cause you couldn't have them as property managers and say their great. That is a lie from the pits of you know where! Run and run fast. Save yourselves.

So far my PM has been super helpful in addressing any issues. I live off Dawson and had a few issues with the place soon after moving in but texted my PM and they got someone over to help really fast. I dont think the issues were really related to Borba since older buildings just have issues from time time so you cant blame them. Also had a good experience signing the lease.

To show you how RIDICULOUS AND GREEDY this property management service is, I received a rent increase that included a whole dollar amount AND a few cents! In literally all my years of renting, never in my life have I seen a landlord put pennies!, cents!, on a rent increase and not just round the dollar amount. I couldn't believe it! I loathe these ppl as new property management. They refuse to secure our building, we have experienced a break in and strange ppl walking in our bldg. They charge you for the slightest repairs. They are entirely tenant unfriendly and unprofessional. And on top of it, you can see how rude, snarky and cold, the responses are, so imagine what you deal with as a tenant! They take their cues from the owner himself apparently. Other occupants I have spoken to, feel the same or worse of their sham of an operation. If you are smart, RUN as far away as possible as you can from these cheap, bullying, scammers. This is why I have ZERO SYMPATHY for landlords and property management! What owner would choose a company with ratings as poor, and responses as rude as this owner? Only one that doesn't care about their tenants! ZERO SYMPATHY! They are truly the worst property management company I have ever encountered. WHEN I SAY RUN, RUN! Any positive review, I would be highly suspicious about. I can't imagine these people being even slightly decent in any scenario. Read the 1 star Reviews and BELIEVE THEM! And please don't waste your time, OWNER, responding to me, you are thee last person who can defend your wretched practices!

Oh no, not good. I understand that you're upset-I would be too. I know seeing your life's work destroyed by careless people is wretching. Just prior to Christmas, I lost 3 cars to a cowardly arsonist. So I get it. I was sad, angry & every emoji possible. But hindsight is 20-20, I moved on, shook off that heavy weight of resentment. I got myself another work truck, I'm safe & sound- my best days lie ahead. Anyways, i just want to share a view from a Borba tenant perspective-me and living at the 3rd property managed by Borba. I happen to be Not on Sec. 8 & İ earn my keep. Im self-employed. I can't judge your situation but I can feel your pain. In all 3 locations, i haven't met anyone on Sec. 8 (SSI, Disability yes) and I've seen someone 'poor' move out nice & someone ' rich' thrash the place. People are people I guess. California is a welfare state so there'll be sec. 8 rentersl from 'bad' areas to Beverly Hills-yes there are mansion owners on sec 8.. Not taking sides but offering hope

It is a property management company. They have all different price ranges for apts, condos, & homes for rent. They do have apartments that you may qualify for based upon your income also.
