Quaint, interesting museum and art gallery in a quiet and picturesque part of Santa Monica. You are transported back in time by the building interior architecture and original Monterey furniture, along with a dazzling collection of Meyers Rainbow pottery and California folk art on the first floor. The second floor exhibition on our visit was a brilliant display of California Water Color Society art from 1921-1971. The paintings were beautiful, intriguing and unique. I would have loved to buy postcards and an exhibition catalogue. However the little shop has many relevant and quality books about Californian art. Our volunteer guide was lovely and well-informed.

I had a lovely time. The quilts were beautiful. The people there were helpful and we got a little tour of the quilts. We met one of the makers and got to speak with her.

Received a tour of this building for only 5 dollars. You will learn a lot about the local history of Ocean Park, Los Angeles and the greater area. There was once an Ostrich Farm on Main and Hill. You'll learn about Malibu Tile and Catalina Cabinetry. They also have a changing exhibit upstairs that is fun.
