It doesn't get more local than the owner and customers discussing which school they went to growing up here. Steph is a FORCE! She's bustling, no frills, no BS and definitely knows her stuff so don't hesitate to stop by if you're just getting started with fishing or crabbing. I know I'll definitely be back.

Yes we've been buying fishing gear here since the beginning I believe my dad has one poll that gets sold him when he 1st Got fishing gear

They do not carry any live bait, just frozen (e.g. squid, anchovy, sardine &/or herring)
Gus's got everything and I've yet to find a better priced tackle shop . The owner always knows the answers to just about any questions you have . Discounts the price for you at check out and almost always throws in some little bell or rod tip for free . 5 stars on customer service . Call them up to get a price .
No. You purchases fishing licenses on line. https://www.wildlife.ca.gov/licensing
No live bait usually but they stock alternatives. For freshwater they have freeze dried insects and powerbait. For salt water they stock the 3 s's( shrimp, sardines, and squid) along with anchovies and artificial cut baits. They also sell a variety of ways to catch your own bait such as cast nets and sabiki. Because of the documentation required by the state.......that type along with Veterans discount licence are best done online at the CA fish and game website......OR it can be done at on of the regional offices, again addresses can be found online
