Charming motel in a charming town. Chairs outside the rooms offer a lovely view of the town from up on the bluff. A perfect spot to relax. Owner is super nice and offers a discount for cash payment. Homey rooms that feel like staying in a relative's place. Don't expect fancy, but do expect comfy. Some rooms even have a separate bedroom for the second bed. Good wifi. Oh, and definitely go to the local brewery, BTW; it's fantastic.

This place is probably one of the very worst I've ever stayed at. From the outside it looks cute and cozy and very pricey compared to nice BnBs in the area but boy howdy, wait till you go inside. Furniture/beds/electrical stuff is way outdated and very sketchy. The lights flicker when the fridge cycles. Bathroom is cramped and tiny, bedrooms have missing lightbulbs and no switches. Windows have no screens and you're lucky if you can get a window open which you'll need to because no AC. The cell service in this town used to be ok but recently there is absolutely none for ATT/Verizon. Normally this would be ok because hotels usually have mediocre wifi. Well here the WiFi works outside but not inside the rooms. You'll pretty much be immediately disconnected unless you are right against a window. Pretty unacceptable for 2021 and for running a business while also charging a premium price. I'm pretty sure the rooms don't get cleaned because I found a surprise stash of empty beer cans under the sink. Nice right?? If you're just passing through for the night and need to sleep.... I'd say sleep in your car at the park in town. Otherwise you're throwing away 130. Either that or there are some very nice local air BnB places that are cheaper and or way better

If you are expecting a 4 star hotel this is not for you. However, if you are expecting a small hometown feel this place is for you. Service was great and fast. The place does have flaws and they should be addressed but, we had a full kitchen, two bedrooms, living room, direct TV and internet. This was all for under $140 a night. If you you are going to the painted hills this place is very close to your destination. Would have given it higher stars but, as I said there is a need for improvement.

While I love spartan motels, I generally expect the place to function. Multiple lights and power outlets did not work and another light failed during our stay. The nice owner tried to fix it but it was an electrical issue and ended up giving us a light to use on the one outlet that worked. Given these issues were obvious to the owner, I would have hoped a partial refund to be offered.
