This is one of my favorite dog parks in the madison area. It is a huge space and the trails through the woods are awesome. Kids and dog alike have fun playing in the trees and forest. There is a spot for dogs to swim (or "ice skate"). The trails and grass are well maintained.

We live on the west side and are willing to make the drive to Warner. It has shaded places/tables to sit, open field, wooded paths and water to explore. These photos are from our first visit when our pup FINALLY learned to enjoy water. He’d actively avoid it until he saw other dogs playing in it here. Friendly people & pups.

The city does a good job keeping this dog park mowed. There is anime shade and sun, and even a swim beach for water dogs. There are picnic tables to test and chat while the dogs wander and play. They're is plenty of parking.

Hi, Joyce You can buy an annual permit for $35. Or if you are disabled or a Senior it is only $17. This permit allows you to go to any of the dog parks in Madison You can also buy a daily pass right there at the kiosk in the dog park for $5.

Is this park pitbull friendly? Unfortunately a lot of owners at other dog parks are not so nice due to my dog’s breed & high energy...

I see more pit mixes at Warner than the other parks. As long as you pay attention to the body language of the dogs yours plays with, and be prepared to walk away if things get too heated, you should be fine. Hopefully everyone would do that, regardless of breed. There is also a separate small dog area at Warner so if you run into someone concerned about the safety of their dog due to the sheer difference in size and strength, they have somewhere to go, unlike Quann.
