We were going to have dinner here, but got tired, so order it to go. While waiting, sat at the bar and had a great cider in a very lively atmosphere. Food didn't take too long, so had to slam the rest of the cider and was on my way. For take out, all of the fried food was still crisp by the time we ate it which was surprising. Great fish and chips, not overly battered and full of flavor.

Good place to get some drinks, but my friends and I waited 45 minutes for food. The grilled salmon and fish n chips were pretty good, but the shepherds pie was below average. Filling was not really seasoned and the mashed potatoes texture looked powdered when picked up with a fork. I would come back to try other options though.

No heat. I am admittedly not from San Fran. I went here for a couple of beers and fish and chips. The food was delicious and the beer was well priced but service was a bit slow. My beer would sit empty for long periods before being asked if I wanted amother (there was only one gal working the whole place and outside). There was also a chill in the air the whole time. I asked the bartender if the heat was on the fritz and she said they didn't have any heat at all. I may go back here but only on warm days and then hope for better staffing.

Nice little classic pub a wonderful lemon drop cocktail and shepherd's pie and burgers are amazing! One of the best burgers we've had in a while. We'll be back!
