We were in the dells for a quick weekend getaway. It was my birthday and we wanted to hit up an indoor water park for the kids and myself to enjoy. Coming from out of town, we natural had to check out the local dining reviews to get the best we could get. As a tourist, let me say Monks does not disappoint. In a town full of gimmicky places and over some under delivered menu options, Monks is true to its word. It's good food. Plain and simple. Lots of different options for those picky eaters and everything was good. I also found it to be one of the more reasonably priced places, especially being on the main strip. They played good music and the staff were all very friendly. We went there twice over this weekend we liked it so much. Don't trust me, give it a shot!

It’s always a pleasure eating at Monks. The burgers are great. The beer is always cold. The service is always on point. The monkey fries are delicious! This is my go-to spot to have a quick beer, or two, or six and a bite to eat while on the strip. Nothing else compares. If you are in downtown Wisconsin Dells, stop here. It’s a little on the small side and is not situated for larger groups but they may be able to work something out. If you want the same great food and service, but have a larger group, check out their other location in front of Wilderness Resort, about 10 minutes away. Thumbs way up. 👍🏻

If I can give this place a 10 stars I would. Food quality, service & establishment excellent. One thing I noticed everybody mentioned the burgers but, their fries are so good & crispy, you literally feel the juiciness well preserved. First time from Nebraska we will definitely come back again.

The food was okay. I ordered a specialty burger which had bacon but I asked for it without it. When it arrives it had bacon and I told the server about it and he took it back to the cook. 5 seconds later he hands me back the burger with still pieces of bacon on it. I expected them to remake my burger instead of just taking the bacon off my sandwich. I don't eat bacon for a reason and didn't want the juice from the bacon on my burger. The fried zucchini and cheese curds were okay. I've had better. My friend ordered the Purple Monkey drink and enjoyed it.
