Might want to go to Colorado, the bears are crazy bad and eat people on the daily up there, don't go

A great visit!! We stayed two nights in late June. It was pretty warm and the campground was very dusty. The lake is absolutely beautiful and a great temperature. We had a great time paddle boarding. The bathrooms are clean, did not smell, and pretty good for a forest service campground. The mosquitoes come out in the later evening and early morning. This place is a gem and I greatly recommend visiting. Only complaints: atv traffic and dust.

Very family friendly, beautiful scenery, awesome swimming area for little ones. Surrounding campsites are close yet still secluded. Very highly recommend for all and tourists.

Cleanest campground we’ve ever visited! The bathrooms even had flush toilets with a sink, which was very nice. Even if you’re “roughing it,” sometimes it’s nice to be able to wash your hands. The campsite host was super nice and helpful. We camped here opening weekend of the season (5/11/19), and nearly every spot was taken by the time we arrived at 11:00 am, so we got very lucky! We noticed afterwards that some sites can be reserved in advanced online, so we will do that in the future. The lake is a beautiful emerald green surrounded by mountains. Lots of people were kayaking or boating, and there was a designated swim area in the day use area (which also has a small fee). Overall, a wonderful area that we will visit again and again.

Dogs are allowed. They are supposed to be on leash within the campground. We always take our 2 with us!!
