I was on a hiking trip for the weekend and found this place on Google Maps. I decided to give it a try. The road to the top is dirt and narrow. Some places were wide enough for only one car to get by. Luckily I only passed one other car and it was at a wider area of the road. At the top of the road is a small parking area. Then it's a short walk up a path to get to the tower. There were 2 other families up there when I first got there but they left a few minutes later and I had the place to myself. It was quite chilly and windy up top. The views are pretty fantastic. The clouds moved in to the west to block the sunset but on the back side you could see the moon rising.

The 360 view is astounding. It’s fairly accessible compared to other lookout towers. Parking lot is short gradual incline leading up to the stairs. Probably half the number of stairs as a typical fire tower. The large wooden platform at the top is amazing for the full 360 effect. Bit of a drive up a dirt road but it’s in great condition and very pretty drive. Glad we ventured off 33 to stop.
