New to the area. Was recommend. Now hooked! Prices are spot on. Meats are superb! Sliced smoked roast beef, sausage, coffee bacon, cooked pulled pork infused with apple cider to name a few of my ultimate favs. The workers are so so personable. It's the equivalent of a kid in a candy store. Latest love is the tomahawk steak!! They also provide cooking instructions with certain cuts if meat. Can not say enough great things. Brisket burgers a must as well!!

On our recent trip to Lancaster, we were disappointed to miss Central Market. So we searched online for another local butcher. We chose Appel Valley based on location and user reviews and headed over early the next morning. Are we ever glad we did. Appel Valley represents everything you're looking for when you think of a country butcher. The meats...prepare yourself to have a hard time deciding, as everything looked delicious. We picked up bologna, Jerky, special bacon, roast beef and a smoked ham which the owner/butcher Steve was happy to cut to size. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making several helpful recommendations. Put simply, Appel Valley was SO GREAT that when we got back to NYC, I had to write this review. The shop is now on our must-hit list for future visits.
