Omg how it the one public pool that smells like a wet dog with 100's of ppl not showering not a health hazard? Build more swimming pools!

I just got home from getting my COVID vaccine shot. The Lawrence & Douglas County Health Department is to be congratulated for the highly efficient AND CARING job they did. I was planning on spending a long time in line. I was in and out in just about 30 minutes counting the 15 I spent in the recovery area. Even after spending eight-plus hours on their feet, everyone was still cheerful, friendly, and polite. Thank you

Great place. I get as many shots here as I can. Also a solid Pokemon Go gym right on top of the place makes waiting a bit easier. 5 Stars

Staff is great. Some policies, not so much. Can't make an appointment for nurse-only visits - even shots that need to be taken on a schedule. Nurse-only visits also cost you in your co-pay on your insurance. Wait times when you don't have an appointment are very long... so you see the problem here...

The public health order expired on May 26. We have recommendations from the health officer including those unvaccinated to wear masks in public, but no mandate. LDCHealth/Smart-safe
