If you are a tool person and you happen to be in the area, the Harry J. Epstein Co. is a must stop. From obscure, specialized tools to framing hammers and everything in between, they have it all. Better yet, the super friendly and knowledgeable employees will bend over backwards to help you find what you need and even things you don't. One thing to keep in mind is that if you're stopping in for just just a screwdriver or similar, you had better bring more funds than what you think you need. If you're anything like me, you will be leaving with a heck of a lot more than just the screwdriver you wanted.

Next day. Finding Styrofoam dust particles throughout the house clinging to upholstery and clothing. Ten more minutes vacuuming. Might need to hire professional cleaning service. That's how bad it is. This company responded already saying they will give me a one stsr rating for my store! LOL, I am just a consumer telling it straight. What a bunch of unprofessional nut cases. Jori Sackin? Is that a real name? Maybe you can Sackin up this mess? No apology or explanation, they just tell me to FO? That says a lot about the Harry J Epstein company. Maybe they live somewhere, where a big mess wouldn't be noticed? Well, I am glad we've actually been able to contain this mess inside rather than blowing all over outside or beautiful place. ----------- Just about couldn't be more displeased with the service provided. These folks used busted up pieces of Styrofoam for packaging. Not peanuts - broken pieces of used packing materials. Result was a gigantic unnecessary mess! Literally took ten minutes to vacuum up the mess after unpacking the box.. Never seen such idiocy! I got great prices on some US made tools and used my China vacuum cleaner from Walmart to clean up the mess! Pics are only showing the initial mess upon simply opening the box! Really pathetic imo.

A national treasure, as far as I'm concerned. One of these years I'll have to make a trek (a hajj?) to their actual store, but even their online ordering experience has been everything that it should be. A priority on US-made items, good prices, customer service that keeps you in the loop even if lead times get long. My shop is stocked with probably 75% of stuff I've bought from Epstein's.

Hello from Philadelphia! I've never been to the story in person but order online frequently. Amazing inventory of American Made hand tools. Most of their listings are new items, some are new old stock but all are worth it. If you want quality tools, look beyond your local big box store. Harry Epstein's online listings prominently disclose country of origin for all items. They ship quickly and their prices are reasonable.
