I was a little disappointed with this store. I like Academy Sports and go frequently in my home town. This store is smaller but we wanted to check out the Royals stuff as they are close to KC. Disappointed. What they had was noticeably higher priced than other Academy stores, there were less Royals 3XL shirts than other stores and we just weren't impressed. Academy needs to consider that a 3XL shirt isn't an odd size anymore. Look around! The hunters and fisherman that are shopping at your store are 2x, 3x and 4XL sized men and women. You're missing out on sales. The only 3XL Royals shirt I found was 55$! Nope. The checker was nice and the store was clean, but they weren't really targeting my want list.

Bought a baseball bat for my son who started pitching machine this year. Within 1 month his Rawlings bat had 2 decent sized dents in it from batting practice. Asked the manager what my options were and received a new bat with no hassle. Highly recommend this place.

Good sales! Visited twice within a couple weeks of each other. Fishing dept. had lots to choose from. Academy brand lures (H2O I think?) Look and react just as good as big brands for lots cheaper.
