Kathy the service manager (black hair) is horrible.. Her attitude stinks. If you set your prices correctly customers would not have to come to the service desk. Six items were priced incorrectly.. Customer service is not a word that goes with HyVee..

The store is nice and clean. However, in regards to catering: I ordered a day ahead for a 30 piece fried chicken to be picked up at 11:30am for a party that starts at 12pm. Well, it’s now 12pm and it still isn’t ready. The excuse was that the manager from the day before didn’t tell them. I’m so disappointed in this place and will not order catering here again.

We ordered and purchased a Birthday cake for my granddaughter (which we do every year, and have always been satisfied). This year, the cake was far from acceptable. It was much smaller than expected, VERY DRY, and poorly decorated compared to previously ordered cakes. No one would eat it, and we ended up having to throw away a $100 cake! I called the store to share our experience with the Manager of the bakery, and he disregarded my concerns, and said he couldn’t do anything. To be honest, I was a bit taken back. Being in management myself, I would have never treated a valued customer like this. He made me feel wrong for not liking the cake, and said he made it himself…a simple “we are sorry our cake didn’t meet your expectations, and would love to make it right with you” would have been all he needed to say. He, instead wouldn’t take ANY responsibility for the quality of cake. Therefore, we will not be returning for their services again. It’s unfortunate, because this could have been handled so easily.

The staff are great and always helpful. The remodel did wonders for it, and the pharmacy is a huge benefit. Several self-checkout stations, but there are always employees willing to check you out! It’s very clean and organized and easy to navigate. Bonus: the wheels on the carts always work!
