If you want to learn to ride AND care for horses, this is the best place to go. The horses are amazing. The staff is professional. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

My daughter has been riding here for 1 1/2 years now and I'm amazed at the growth I've seen! Kendra is a gifted and exceptional instructor who balances growth with safety so beautifully. My daughter is happiest here and would live at the barn if I let her! :) Thanks, Bridges staff, for the joy your horses and barn bring to my daughter's life.

The more I think about it, the more I get really mad. My daughter fell of the horse today, I believe it was the instructor's fault. The horse wasn't having a good day from the start, my daughter told me that he was acting weird from the very beginning when they were brushing the horse. They went to the very end somewhere in back, small arena that was next to some donkey, they said that he didn't like the donkey and that's why he started bucking. The first time he bucked my daughter was able to hold on to it. Miss Sheridan asked If she was OK, then continued the lesson. Clearly, this horse Jed is not good for beginners. After 1 min, he bucked again, really hard, my daughter fell on her back, really hard. Only later today after she took a nap, she told me that she blacked out, It was hard to breath when she fell. The instructor didn't offer any help, didn't even say sorry right away. She just kind of stood there and then asked if she is ok. I know that Bridges is growing and they are hiring new instructor's and probably getting new horses? I don't know, but you should do a better job keeping the kids safe. I met this other mom on FB, who also had a bad experience with Bridges and left. When we came for our first lesson, they were not welcoming at all. I had to ask for instructor's name, but whatever, may be she was having a bad day... we were very excited to start at Bridges, very. Their response was OK, they were sorry, but of course backing up the instructor and telling me that the horse is super gentle. Now my daughter is afraid to ride, it was her second lesson at Bridges. Only second lesson and they couldn't provide safety for us. Of course kids fall and expect this to happen in the future, but they could've stopped the lesson, change the location away from that donkey or get a new horse. She needed to see a Dr, but the instructor didn't mention anything. She didn't just fall lightly, the horse was pretty big. Sitting at the urgent care. Not coming back and do not recommend.

For nearly three years my daughter has been a student of Brides Equestrian Center. She has taken private & group lessons, attended Pony Club and seasonal ridding camps. Ruthanna and her amazing trainers are professional, experienced and personable. In the beginning, my daughter was timid and unsure of herself as a rider. The Bridges team extended patients and compassion while teaming her up with well trained ponies to help gain her confidence. To date, she has excelled in her riding ability and is an active member of Pony Club. Bridges Equestrian Center has helped my daughter learn how to believe in herself, while building her skills as a rider. Pony Club has also proven to be a positive experience for learning how to care for horses, be a part of fund raising events and make new friends. Thank you Bridges!

I don't know you should contact them directly
Hello Roxanne, thank you for your interest in Bridges Equestrian! We offer riding lessons for $65 in an arena, but that doesn't sound like what you are looking for. No one does riding on the beach in Orange county, but I understand there is somewhere in San Diego that does? Nobody does trail rides here in OC either, to my knowledge. Ruthanna
I'm sorry, we no longer offer Western style lessons. Just wasn't that much interest in it. However, "English" style riding translates very well. It is slightly more involved, but you can do it!
