I visit with my wife often and always leave impressed. Warm cheese on burgers, melted cheese on cheesesteaks, crispy bacon that isn’t too crispy, crunchy fries, crispy brown tots, I’ve tried everything on the menu and my favorite is the Cheesesteak, no one around can compete with the burgers, and Kentucky Fried Chicken could never touch these tenders. The staff puts up with a lot of difficult customers, I could count how many they encounter per every thirty minutes I spend here when i visit. The servers definitely deserve great tips for their great service, the cooks deserve all the compliments in the world. Thank you Hwy 55, bringing joy one bite at a time.

Man the last few times I have been to this restaurant, things have gone completely downhill. One of the best things that this place used to have was cheese fries. I went a few weeks ago and they had completely changed the cheese for the fries, that cheese is awful, I would of rather them sprinkle shredded shard cheddar cheese on the fries and warm them up in the microwave. They gotta do better with their burger too, they used to be so amazing. Hwy 55 had one of the best burgers in our town, but now fiesta tapatia has that role. Fiesta is doing everything right must I say. I believe management is an issue at that place, I hope the staff are being treated the way they should be treated. And I just gotta say this again, the cheese for the cheese fries is awful. El Sherif sounds like a good place to eat at today. I do remember when they had some of the best staff a few years back, I hate that they had to move on to other places. Another thing is their signature sweet tea, it is supposed to be really good sweet tea. A lot of the times I have gone there, the tea wasn’t right, that definitely needs to improve. I don’t think they know how to paint. They are in a Walmart shopping cart center, that Walmart doesn’t have anything it in.

The single star is for friendly service only. The place needs a good cleaning and a lot of other stuff. I have been to another branch and it was nothing like this. I ordered the shrimp platter with coleslaw and onion rings, and it came within 10 minutes. I would gladly have waited another 20 minutes if it meant getting a proper hot meal. My food was served on a cheap paper plate- the kind you buy bulk at the dollar store! The coleslaw was good. The shrimps were nasty. They were oozing a brown liquid. When I asked my server what that was, she said she had no idea and offered no reparation. I did not push because I can imagine the place is on its last legs. The onion rings were really soaked in oil... like they were fried on low heat or refried from a previous shift. Prices are fair.
