Probably the best barbecue I have ever eaten! Large portions, delicious sides. The home made Blue Cheese is OUTSTANDING ! They service was super friendly too.

I have to be completely honest, the service was excellent, staff was friendly, but the food was absolutely inedible for myself or my wife. The meat on our barbecue sandwiches was so Smokey flavored, that we could not stomach it, and did not finish our food. On top of the overly Smokey flavor, the sauce provided by the restaurant did very little to compliment or “add to” the overall flavor. The coleslaw was edible, but tasted like someone spilled the sugar bag while making it (way too sweet!) had to add black pepper and salt to enjoy it. Lastly, their famous beans. I have no idea how they became renowned. They lacked flavor and were very over cooked to the point that the beans were beginning to disintegrate. This whole experience was more upsetting due to the fact that we waited 30mins to be seated and drove an hour out of our way to try based on a local recommendation. We will not be back. Steer clear tourists, there is a clearly a local flavor profile that is very unique to this part of the country.

Rated Legendary by Roadfood.com, Ridgewood does not disappoint! You can plainly see the smoke on the thin-sliced beef, which tastes like a heavenly less-salty beef bacon. The fries are obviously freshly natural-cut. They are some of the best fries ever. Easily worth the 30-min detour off the Interstate. If you’re in Bristol Tennessee for NASCAR, of course you will stop. But even if your in Memphis or Durham, it’s still worth the trip.

Ridgewood is wonderful! It's like going back in time to an old roadside dinner in the 1960s. My only complaint is the size of the food portions. Way too large!! I wish they had smaller plates portion options. It just seems wasteful to serve so much. Then again, if you are super hungry this is the place to go!!!

I'm almost sure they only have beef and pork bbq but it is delicious.
I do not know for certain; I do not own the Restaurant, I believe that they may though; but you may just want to call them and ask.

Not at this time. FYI, our new hires traditionally start in the kitchen, but this could vary. Be sure to follow our listing, changes will be communicated through this channel first - thank you for your inquiry!
We have ate there quite a few times and even in the last month and have never had a issue with the sauce being spicy hot at all. We even buy their sauce to use at home.
