Went for Brunch. Service was great seated in the booths in the bar. Food came fast and was tasty. Over all a great Sunday Champaign brunch with a very attentive staff and not too expensive.

Very good dinner. Very good service. Atmosphere was perfect for a Mexican food experience.

Fajitas were excellent but I got sick later I've been there three times and all three times I've been sick. It may be just a coincidence because the food appears to be quite tasty while eating it, not when it comes back up or out. My companions enjoy it thoroughly. Two of us came down with covid shortly afterward, hmmm, 🤔. No one else got sick. I'm special.😉

Note: This Review is based on two mid-day, mid-week visits in September of 2021, so COVID Quarantine conditions were in effect. This is a very well-appointed, traditional Mexican restaurant in a separate building, among stores in a small shopping center. Seating consists of booths along the walls, tables separated by dividers, and stools at the bar. Soft, Spanish-language music is piped in. The menu is abbreviated but contains all the traditional dishes: Tacos, Enchiladas, Tostados, and Burritos. The cheese is a dark yellow blend and is thicker than most others. The red sauce is also thick and is mildly spiced. I would like to make special note of the salad (included in the combo plate) because, not only is it generous in size, with a nice combination of ingredients, but the dressing is extraordinary. It is made in-house and contains big chunks of Bleu Cheese. Because so many restaurants nowadays buy their dressings in bulk, with no thought about the delicate blends of flavors and no consideration given to freshness, this salad topper stands out. (Other flavors of salad dressing are also available.) The waiter for my first visit was very nice, quite attentive, and offered good advice. I like to give my order to the same person who serves my meal, checks in on me, comes back for refills, and offers the check. That did not happen during my second visit, with a variety of staff performing the various functions. Prices are moderate, so you will pay more here than elsewhere, but I believe the food is worth it. Rodrigo's Mexican Grill is Recommended.
