Amazing, just an amazing experience. I explained my horrible situation to the staff. (My car's electronic system malfunctioned and the malfunction turned the car into a brick on wheels). Robert and Carlo took care of it. They treated me kindly and quoted a competitive price. What a great experience. I highly recommend Family Auto Service to everybody for their certified and professional staff. They have the nicest and most knowledgeable staff in all of San Diego, period.

Used to go here all the time, but new customer service has been placed and they're horrible. I went in for power steering leak, was quoted $2000. Saying both pressure lines were ruined, and needed a new reservoir. After checking on line for similar quotes, I found none above $1000. Actually found one for $250 total. They wouldn't give me a price quote in writing, only a list of needed repairs. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN. If you do, good luck to you.

Came to them for an oil change; evidently they sized us up as a young out of state couple who would have no idea about cars, and tried to pull the iconic fear-mongering to replace our cabin filter, engine filter, and drive belt and charge us out the nose for it. Would have expected this from jiffy lube, not here. Had me come back into the garage to show me gross filters and then ASKED me to leave when they were going to "put them back" in my car, the full dog and pony show. I don't know how well you can measure workman quality from an oil change, but to their credit they seem to have done a fine job with that. I would trust them just about as far as I can throw my car, though.

Carlo was very friendly and thoroughly checked my tires. Worked diligently to find me the best prices on tires and rebates. My oil change was very fast and they let me wait inside, it was very comfortable. They have coupons online for oil change.
