Hidden gem right in downtown. Love this little market hidden away with a great deli and lots of wine selections!

I was completely follow in the store the whole time I was looking for an item. As I was walking to the front He asked me "What happened to the brown bottle" I was confused and said Excuse Me what are you talking about" He said" I had a brown 1800 bottle, Where is it"..I told him " I don't have it" and open up my jacket to show him. I was not carrying no purse or bag with me. That's when he told me to leave and never come back and I told him "I won't because you just accused me of stealing some liquor and matter of fact check your cameras" and walk out..He was VERY RUDE AND ARGUEMENTAL!

Apparently, there's no #Yelp, nor any links to this "5 Star Bunker Hill Market." "Our residents don't ask about price, they just pay. We're not a 7/11 store and provide #frequent #buyers #club. And we charge a dollar tax on all reading materials..." As per the young Latin male. I know I'm not returning to a market, where there are no price tags. For example, a $2.29 Pellegrino Water & $1.49 TOPO Chico, mineral water was verbally charged $2.29 for both items of different size drinks... BUYER BEWARE! I had to insist on my receipt 3 times to the older male cashier, who copped an attitude and undr his breathe said why didn't I tell him! I reminded I had, but the younger male cashier was boasting about the 5 Star Bunker Hill Market. 🤔 Oh, there are $0.99 merchandise which are verbally over charged from $3.00 to $12.00 dollars and more by the evening cashiers that act more like hoodlums than professional merchants. Though, I was told the day cashiers are friendly and kind. That remains to be seen, should I consider revisiting.

A hidden treasure! All this time right around the corner i never knew! Absolutely nothing they don't have and the prices can't be beat. Only critique is that they are not advertised everywhere because people need to know.

Same as everywhere in LA. Masks, social distance, don't go in if you feel sick.
