The Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC is such an incredible organization! Volunteering here has introduced me to some of the most wonderful people and it is an honor and delight to serve the community alongside them. No one should go hungry and the food bank team works hard to ensure that no one does.

In December, we decided as a store to assist a charitable organization. This year we chose The Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. Our store raised over three thousand cans for the Food Bank. We had over two tons of canned food. The staff there helped with every bit of the food as we pulled up in pickup trucks. Thank you CENC

Wonderful program all around. Outside "housed" bin is great idea but was overflowing when I dropped off items. I'd have loved to actually been able to speak w/any of the volunteers/workers. In a time where the craziness of Covid has dampened any semblance of personal interaction, this continues to be a vital ministry.

The Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina serves a critical role in providing the food to those in need across 34 counties in the state. The volunteer work I participated in today provides food for seniors in a special program where recipients get a box of food every month to supplement what would be a very restricted food budget. If you check their website you will see all the different ways you can volunteer or otherwise make a donation to the food bank.
