Excellent food and outstanding service!!! Nice family atmosphere. And for a very reasonable price…. We’ll be back!!

Our experience here every time is wonderful, from the service to the food. It is our favorite Mexican restaurant, and we live in Cary, NC so we make a point to go here each time we go to the beach which is often since we have family there. Would highly recommend!! Food is awesome, always seated quickly and everyone there is so nice!

If it's not a busy time you might wonder where the restaurant is and whether they're open, but curb appeal is not what draws the locals. Inside, the pleasing interior and properly curated Latin music welcome guests to the type of authentic Mexican-American experience that tourists only find if they're lucky. Great food? Yes. See pictured fajitas, steak & shrimp platter, and flan for two. Proper queso? Oh, yes. And portioned just right for two people. All the right beers are on tap, and served in a beer mug so massive my usually grumpy Brit is genuinely satisfied. As for the margaritas, let me say that only the experienced drinker is up for the large size. Get a medium (pictured next to my *wallet*) if you have the luxury to leave inebriated. Otherwise, ask for something small. And don't forget we're now adding 5% to our regular tip to help wait staff through Covid.

We ate here this evening for an early dinner and it was amazing! The staff is very nice and was very prompt and professional. All of our food was prepared quickly and was delicious. I highly recommend the special dinner and split it with someone. Also the fried ice cream is wonderful. We will definitely be going back soon.

Yes.. it's really good and worth the price
Monkey junction, they know what I'm getting ad I walk in. Always great! Highy recommend
Normally no reservations needed, but this is going to be a busy weekend so you may want to call just in case
I think so.
Thanks Christine. I have tried every Mexican restaurant in wilington. El Cerro has by far the best chirozo. Only extremely minor minor weakness is the salsa. It's not watery at all and it's not ketchup but it's very bland. Everything else on menu is top notch and the female waitresses are very good looking.
