I walked in without appointment thinking that my car had a transmission problem. They looked at it at first and were so honest that they told me that the problem was in the engine instead. Went ahead to get a specific diagnosis (20 min waiting time) and they fixed it the same day. Absolutely recommended! P.s. Lloyd is really that good!

Update: Lloyd and the guys are still the best. My transmission will now likely outlast my engine, and thanks to the manager for going above and beyond the call of duty so once again have keys to my ignition! Thanks again AAMCO! *Lloyd and the crew answered my questions over the phone prior to even having my car towed in outside of business hours. Provided me a free diagnosis AND full parts/labor itemized breakdown of the repair cost. Waited for me to approve and authorize the work in the written diagnosis estimate before starting billable hours. They even followed my very unique requests regarding my cars ignition situation PERFECTLY. Had my vehicle fixed the very same afternoon along with the peace of mind that comes with the AAMCO expertise on transmission work as well as a superior warranty to most repair shops. Fast, professional, considerate, and honest. Frank's Subaru quoted me over $9k for the transmission work. AAMCO was able to get the job done for a fraction of the cost ($1500). Lloyd, the customer service manager at AAMCO, took the time to identify the problem and logically solve it in a cost conscious way. With a transmission it can be difficult and time consuming to do this, but Lloyd and his team had me back on the road in less than a week during the holiday season! I held off writing a review because the real test of transmission work comes from driving under regular conditions. In the last two months, my vehicle runs like new again. What began as a worst case scenario - thinking I needed to buy a new car without being able to get much for a trade in - turned into a great overall experience. Looking forward to returning to this shop for future work.
