This is one of my favorite places in LA. Every day, they handle millions of gallons of sewage. The smells from here are what get you. Sometimes there is only a small dank musk rolling over the hill to El Segundo. Other times, one experiences a strong stroganoff-like odor deep into the night which is most certainly not coming from cooking food. This place is a reminder to me that our flushes go somewhere. I urge our government to continue operating and innovating the operation at Hyperion.

Horrible company spill 17 million gallons of sewage unto out oceans. How you don’t have safety measures in place to avoid this is beyond me. Horrible company. Hope you go out of business.

I have work there on and off for the last 25 years doing concrete. I have one photo there that has over 75,000 views. Hyperion began being built in 1952 and has come a long way since the 80s. They did a remodel in 94. Cut down on all the smell. Made it look more modern. Look me up as a guide Infidel 777 Patriots also on YouTube

Hard hats are provided but no need for glasses. If you require a wheelchair, that is not provided at the plant
