Always a wait at dinner time, you can call ahead to get your name on the list. Rucker John's is trying to be a high-end restaurant, but doesn't quite pull it off. Our waitress was rushing us especially to clear the table when we weren't finished eating. One of our favorites is the Southern biscuit buns that are wet with honey glaze, there's pictured w the salad. I got the Blackjack Special ribeye, medium. Most of it was flavorful and had a good crisp on the outside. The cook temperature was correct. But I would not get it again. Plus the wide, thinly cut meat ensured that it was cold before you could finish eating it. Vegetarian wife said her salad was wet, took half home and ended up throwing it out. Warning: if you order the salmon on your salad, tell them you want the cook temperature well done otherwise the center will be raw.

Great experience, food was great, they had good ranch for their salads, nachos and ribs were good too. Service was great even at 9:00 at night.

We had been to Emerald Isle multiple times but never to Rucker Johns. It was an awesome restaurant with great food and even better service. Located at the back of the Food Lion parking lot. Highly recommend!! (We particularly enjoyed the flatbread and chicken tenders and salad ).

The food was delicious! When you walk into the restaurant, youre greeted by the kindest and friendliest faces. Our waitress was really on top of our orders and making sure everything was up to par. While we didn't have a window or outdoor view, the establishment looked super clean. The chefs? Masters of flavor. Our food was divine on every level, and I'm so glad everything is made in-house. It was honestly worth the random 3 hour trip from central NC my girlfriend and I decided to take.
