Passing through town and stopped for lunch here. It was absolutely fantastic! The grilled chicken bites, burger, and Al sweet potato fries were delicious. Highly recommend. Wait staff was super friendly.

Every time I come here it's hit or miss, which is probably why I only eat there once or twice a year and I only live 2 miles away. The food is usually pretty good, but the prices are rather high and it ALWAYS takes about 30 minutes to get your food. Sometimes it sits in the window for 5 or more minutes before your waitress finally notices it and brings it to you. Last night was strike three for me. If my daughter wasn't so dead set on getting some bacon-cheese fries and it wasn't my 25th wedding anniversary, I would have walked out before we were served. I got upset because someone that came in about 5 minutes after we put our order in got their food before us. Their excuse was that it "takes longer to cook seafood than it does burgers". I worked in food service for over 20 years. It doesn't take longer to fry 12 oysters and grill 12 shrimp than it does to prepare two burgers. Not only that, but the oysters were soggy and the shrimp were overcooked. The coleslaw used to be really good, but not anymore. Also, I noticed nobody working in the kitchen was wearing a hair restraint, which is a violation of NC Food Code 204.11. I won't spend another dime there.

Just passing through & found a gem! The staff are very friendly & offered good service. Hubs got the grilled shrimp with crispy, hot onion rings. He said the shrimp tasted fresh & it was a generous serving. I had a cheeseburger, cooked almost to the medium I ordered. It was seasoned well with fresh toppings. Very tasty! The sweet potato waffle fries...goodness, gracious! Is it a side or dessert? They are crispy & seasoned with sugar (maybe salt & cinnamon). So good! Definitely recommend...worth the drive off of I-40.

I absolutely love it here. The staff is kind. Very hometown vibe with the memorabilia on the walls. The food is amazing,but I have only had a small sample of what they have. Did not know this was here in Newton Grove, but I highly recommend it. Thanks to the staff for taking care of us!!!
