WOW!!! This is as close as you'll get to a NYC deli anywhere in NC. Portions are huge and all meats, cheeses and breads are top shelf. What a jewel. I begged her to open another in Fuquay Varina as her formula will work ANYWHERE.

This little nugget in downtown Smithfield is don't miss! Tired of fastfood? Go in, head to the counter and the menu is posted behind it - I got the Reuben (I chose mustard over Russian dressing) and the combo which includes a drink and a bag of chips. My other half got an Italian Sammich however he would suggest requesting olive oil & vinegar with salt and pepper instead of the Mayo that came on it. But either way it was super solid sandwiches across the board!

This place and its management (ownership) is a class act. I had one order (out of many good ones) that wasn't their normal selves and they went above and beyond to make it right. The food is quality and the bread has the amazing taste of up north. I highly recommend this place (breakfast is on point too) and our dealership will utilize them whenever we are in need of great sandwiches. Thanks Gotham's Deli!

Great place for a delicious sub! I've been swinging by this little place for years! Absolutely delicious subs! The subs are loaded up and the bread is baked to perfection. I've never been disappointed with the food here. The atmosphere is very open and family friendly. If you're looking for a good sub, this is the place for you.

Thanks for that question. From the onset of the Covid pandemic we have strived to be proactive in safety. We contacted our local health department to help us in this matter. Some of the things we’ve done: we started individually wrapping out plastic ware, we took napkins off the tables and hand them out when they place there order, we have sanitizer available when you enter and also at the register, we wear masks, sandwich makers use gloves, we sanitize the tables often, we’ve removed several tables to have six feet between each table. We offer curbside service also Scott
