It was not the best Mexican restaurant I have been to. I was not pleased with how the checks are ran when dinner is done. I should give two stars, but the waitress was very attentive, the chips salsa and cheese were very good. Food just needed more flavor and chicken was rubbery. Go for the chips and drinks.

Excellent food and alot of it. The warm chips and salsa to start with are wonderful. (We even had to buy some of the salsa and take it home) all of our food was fantastic. Waitress was friendly, but service was a bit slow.

Staff is always friendly but often overwhelmed. The first few times my husband and I ate here the food was nothing to write home about but it was edible. Since then, every time we visit I say we are never going back. But last night's dinner was the last straw, and even my husband, who is not a finicky eater, agreed that it was indeed horrible. I ordered "Traditional Guacamole" which was maybe 1/2 a chopped avocado and some chopped tomato on top of a huge bed of iceberg lettuce... no jalapeno, no cilantro, no onion. This was at best a very sad little salad. My husband ordered a rare steak which was 50% fat and cooked so long that he could barely cut into it... as a vegan, I must admit that I sat back and enjoyed the show of him wrestling with his cow, but really? What did we just pay $50 for?

This place was really good. I was riding around the area looking for barbecue and passed this place like 3 times . So I finally said let me give this a try. I normally have Mexican at home but since I was out of town wanted to try what the locals usually have. I was seated immediately as I walked in and was started with warm chips and 2 different types of salsa, mild and hot. My waitress came over shortly and introduced herself( Crystal) and took my drink order while I looked at the menu. She then came back, took my order and put it in to be prepared. I started with the special nachos as an appetizer , and ordered the pick 2 from the combo. The nachos were amazing and definetly reminded me of the food back home. And the entree came out shortly after I was done , she checked on me between her other guests she was waiting on and made sure I had all I needed. Service was phenomenal! This was a great experience for me and I will definetly return when I'm back in town. I'm a truck driver so I usually eat on the go and it's not the best of food at the truck stops and this place was literally less that 4 miles from the one I was at. Definetly a hidden gem there in Dillon! You have to try it ! Nice pricing for great food that will fill you up !
