We have found out that even though the sign says, "open 24 hours", it is NOT. Several mornings when trying to eat there, it has been locked. The days they are open, the staff complains about the workers from the night shift not doing their jobs. There is a lot of arguing and loud talking back and forth with the staff. There are only about 3 employees that care about their job and do a great job. If you are lucky and get in of a morning, be prepared to wait approx. 30-45 minutes for your food. Since we are in this town to work and have to stay at a motel, there is not a lot of options for food. So, we go across the street to the Waffle House. Which always has at least 6 workers, are nicer when greeting you and within 5 min you have food....

We visited this Huddle House on a Friday night while staying at the South of the Border. It was quite busy but the service was great! Very clean. We noticed the whole staff was all men, which was a really nice surprise! They all seemed to work together very well.. Our server was very attentive and super friendly, as were the others we noticed as they waited on their customers. We had such a nice experience, we returned for breakfast the next morning! The morning staff was just as pleasant as the night before. This isn't something you see very often while traveling! Thank You all for the kindness ..we will return the next time we are in the area!

We were passing through Dillon and decided to stop at the Huddle house. Our waitress was in Training and overall did a very good job. We both got the MVP breakfast. Only major issue was my Husband asked for a pancake and they brought out a waffle. No biggie they switched. The pancake came out halfway through our dinner. It was huge! But very undercooked. They put two scoopes of butter on it. Only other complaint would be some of the conversations going on between employees. I am all for having a good time at work, as ive managed several places, but there is a time a place for everything. Just be cautious of what your saying when customers are in the dinning area.

Food is edible, but nothing special. The restaurant is very dirty! It needs a serious cleaning and face lift. Drain flies constantly buzzing your face while your trying to eat. Staff is the worst I've encountered in awhile! The restaurant had 1 table occupied when we arrived. We stood at the entrance for a couple minutes since there is no sign telling you to sit yourself or not before we asked the two employees at the counter looking at their cellphones. (seat yourself ) We sat ourselves and keep in mind the only other guests in the place are an elderly couple that already had their food, after 10 minutes, I had to wave the server over to take our order. Since we had been sitting so long before being aproache we where ready to order food at this time, but she just stayed long enough to get our drinks and ran off. We finally got to order food arrived, never saw our server again. Not to ask how things are, not to refill our drinks, NOTHING! The cook cashed out our bill. The men's room toilet seat won't stay up and lacks a urinal, so if you have to pee, enjoy sitting on a nasty old toilet seat, or holding the seat up while bend over peeing. Third options looks to be most common one, just piss on the floor. Look at the pictures (notice even the scrub brush holder is also filled witb urin! and go across the street to Waffle House.
