North Carolina Welcome Center and Rest Area

Overall it was a great rest up with clean bathrooms and water fountains. A great selection of vending machines to I believe. There’s also a small fountain in different areas to walk him to take a break. I like reading the signs that tell you about local wildlife and different facts about the area. I think it’s worth stopping at her new to the area

Large, lots of grass and tables, clean and quiet. The pond is a very nice feature. As usual, we’re in an RV so we don’t use the facilities and with the pandemic, we don’t enter any of the Welcome Centers. But it was a very peaceful place with lots of parking! Big rigs parked mostly along the entrance rather than in the lot.

Moving Forward Adventures

This was a great overnight stop for us in our RV, plenty of room for the motorhome and tow car, we liked that the RV parking was Seperate from the truck parking. Nice grounds to walk our dog with picinic tables and grills. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained.

This is a great welcome center. If you need to take a break and walk as I did there is a lake you can walk all the way around. It is only a quarter mile but it was a cool sunny day and beautiful. Great spot, clean restrooms.
