Had an amazing time at Childress 2 weeks ago. We started off with brunch at the bistro. Food was delicious. I had 2 entrees couldn’t decide. Wine slushee was delicious. We did the wine tour and tasting as well. We left feeling really good. Would definitely recommend.

What a wonderful surprise for a Friday lunch! The grounds and buildings are impressive! From the moment you drive up through the labeled vineyards to the time you leave you enjoy beautiful vistas! This vineyard bistro was wonderful. The staff helpful and knowledgeable in selections. The food was prepared to liking and there were many drink selections to choose from including virgin mimosas. We enjoyed our lunch, strolling through the shop and testing some lovely wine and chocolate! 🍷🍫 🍴

We went on a day trip there. Wine tasting and lunch. It was the best experience at any winery ever, and I used to live in California. Great reds and great food. I will return many times #3 Forever The Man, Forever The Fan.

Had an amazing experience today! My wife and I drove 2 1/2 hours to visit Childress for the 1st time. Spectacular views from the second we turned into the vineyard. Upon reaching the foyer, we were immediately greeted by a very ecstatic warm employee(I did not catch her name). She welcomed us, Thanked us for visiting, guided us to everywhere we needed to visit, answered all of our questions without hesitation and showed her appreciation for us joining them! Once we entered the building, we were greeted several times by different employees! Not once did we speak to someone that did not want to be here! GREAT Atmosphere!!! Mrs Jerri in the store was awesome! She welcomed any questions and explained how the tastings worked as they had several different selections of tastings. She was Amazing! Couldn't ask for a better hostess! We had a reservation @3PM. Arrived around 12 just to check out the vineyard and enjoy ourselves. Arrived at the bistro a few minutes before our scheduled time and was seated immediately as they were prepared for us, the way it should be! Madison was our Hostess/server and once again, superb! Nothing short of her being amazing! She didn't rush us, answered our questions without hesitation and even gave us her recommendations once we asked for them! Spot on! Had a great day! Great experience! The entrees were perfect and so delicious! Just want to say.....Great job to all of you!!! You guys are why this exists! Be proud Mr. Childress!!!!! Will definitely be back!

They have music most weekends. Their web site lists the Music in the Vineyards events. This summer, most of the music has been on the new patio rather than in the air conditioned pavillion. It's uncomfortable when 85+ degrees. Music can be too loud on the patio but there is plenty of seating on grass below the patio and under the pergola. They have many tables and chairs with umbrellas on lawn area. This year they added more outdoor seating along the front of the main building. Many of the seats are shaded and would catch a breeze, but aren't optimal for hearing the music since patrons walk nearby and music is around the corner. I've heard at least 15 of the music groups that have played there, and they've all been good.
Really no need to bring chairs the concert is in doors and it is free.
The bistro until 5 pm wine tasting until 6 hours differ on Sundays
Yep! You can drive your car right up to the front door and go to the bistro without stairs. Most of the property is relatively accessible
Yes it is
The vineyards are gated and closed after hours but several shopping centers and at least one campground near by Walmart less than half mile from vinyards
Absolutely
I would contact Afton Hall. She is the Fast Track Wine Club (FTWC) Account Manager there and I believe she coordinates the event entertainment.
You should call them. We made pics but was private group.
You can have a reception without getting married there.
