Dennis was kind and helpful. The floods have made some trails unsafe but they have them marked with caution tape to help keep off. The large trees are fun to see (cottonwood and redoak). The baptism rock is a great place for dogs to cool off. The caves are neat to see. Some of the poison ivy along the paths is concerning due to its closeness, but I would come back again!

Very secluded, we enjoyed it a lot. Honestly the seclusion made me a little happier, because usually I won't "enjoy" the playground with my son if others are around, but I actually got to get on everything with him. I felt like a kid again, it was great 😄

Took the dog over here today. It was our first time. I like that they have steps going all the way down to the cave because it makes for a quick trip if you're not looking to hike a whole lot. The day that we went was super hot so we basically did the stairs and down by the river and back to the parking lot. Overall the park seems really nice and well-maintained and we would love to go back in the fall.

I enjoyed my hike with my son at Boone's Cave. I would recommend to download the maps before going. The signs on the trails are very helpful, but they are more helpful with the maps. They have several trails from beginners to experienced hikers. Boone's Peak Trail - loved it! But adhere to the warning, I would not recommend for children or an adult with loose footing or balance.

Abri there is a number you can call but I will tell you I was there last Sunday and it had a bunch of water and mud. I can only imagine how it is now especially being so close to the river. Be safe. Call them.
It's a short cave, and the ceiling is very low, crawling or scooting only.
No. You would not be able to get down to the caves. There are stairs, narrow pathways and roots from trees and rocks.
It's impossible to know. They like to close early, too.
The main story as far as I know is that he used the cave to hide from Native Americans that were chasing him in that area.
