What a great wooded Park! 1.5 mile loop around it (nicely shaded for hot days). River access and benches periodically along the banks of the river. The playground is a unique set of structures. And it's all walkable from the mill.

Great trail on an Island in the middle of the Haw River, kids play ground and trail is a easy walk on level ground , I enjoy this and the little village of Saxapahaw

I absolutely love Saxapaw Island Park. There's a decent length trail that circles the entire island. There's small beach accesses for relaxation. There's a play area for kids with a fun, giant wooden fish. And there's fishing. It's hard to beat trial walking by a river This is a very relaxing place to hangout. I'll be back for sure!

This is a cute little park that we visit often. The playground features a huge wooden fish and the island is a great place to fish, walk with your dog or swing in one of the hammocks.
