The kayaking stargazing tour was amazing! Our main guide, Ben, was so friendly, knowledgeable, funny, and made the experience extra enjoyable. What a phenomenal time; I've been recommending it to all of my friends! Thanks for a magical evening.

Rented kayaks for a three-person, three-hour trip up the Haw. The staff was friendly and helpful, and we had a great experience. I'm sure we'll do it again. I would highly recommend them for anyone who wants to enjoy some time on the water without the hassle of buying and transporting your own gear and boat.

Had a wonderful experience, at every step along the way. Reservations were easy online. Their very friendly, knowledgeable staff welcomed us and ensured we had a fun, safe experience. We enjoyed the self-guided 3-hr excursion on the 'lake' (a very calm, wide part of the Haw River). The kind staff member who helped us 'push off' shore stayed around a while, to ensure we were doing ok and felt comfortable. I'll be returning, on my own, and again when family or friends visit. It's a really fun outing that doesn't require prior kayaking experience. I wish it were possible to give more than 5 stars!

I booked a kayaking trip back in April, and when we arrived the wind picked up and we deemed it too dangerous to go out on the lake due to the weather. The employee that was helping us was very kind and sent us a credit to use for another time, which we did this past weekend! Waters were much calmer and it was a beautiful day! This place is kinda out in the country, but totally worth it! Everyone is super helpful and guide you through everything, including safety and getting in and out of the water. Highly recommend booking a trip with them.

Yes with a life vest of course which they provide the middle would be the safest probably
For our Saxapahaw upriver trip, one that is self guided and puts you in a boat above the Sax dam, the prices are $30 for a single kayak or paddleboard, and $40 for a tandem kayak or canoe. Weight should not be an issue, as there are boats for all sizes.
They absolutely do, Dan! And there's plenty of spots to get your line wet. I'm one of the guides there and I can attest that you will be taken good care of there. Come visit!
