Love this park so much. The dog park area is very well used by my household and it has got a beautiful walking trail along the river that’s very nicely maintained. The weekend can get quite busy and parking can be very limited when kids sports are in season but otherwise this is a lovely area! Be aware that it is located near a water treatment plant and as such, it can get smelly during certain days and times! It can be so off putting you may have to choose a different path but on the rare day you can’t smell it - it’s a great walk!

Park is large and has separate areas for dogs under/over 30lbs. Unfortunately, the large dog side was littered with broken glass and I even found a large, rusted, metal hook. Park is great, but needs some safety cleanup.

They have done a great job improving and adding to this park. Ballfields I played on as a kid, playground, dog park, skate park, and miles of Carolina Thread Trail access.

I was last here over 8 years ago and only visited the front if the park. Today I checked out the greenway that attaches to the park and runs all the way to the Mount Holly municipal building. What a great mostly level path; paved well, clear and maintained great, and much of it along the river. The park itself has a nice big covered seating area near the soccer fields, a big jungle gym, baby swings, dog park, skateboard park, life sized checker board...I mean more swings for older kids would be nice. But this has most everything else! Wonder why they don't have 5ks here? Start at the park and end at the police station with its great parking, etc.

Yea you can fish just have your ID and fishing license and make sure you look up the laws for that area about how many you can keep and how big they have to be to keep them
The rules board says no bikes
There is no actual launch but people do put in there
It is open to the a&e pump waiting on Duke power to finish their cleanup where old power plant was
I think 2 laps around. But it's been 2 years since walking on that concrete put my friend and myself in a podiatrist office... boots, night braces, injections, horrible debilitating pain and then a surgeons office, having surgery again next month. I would Not recommend running on that or walking 10 miles like I did consistently it did make me feel much better but now I'm paying dearly from not being able to walk But find you a track save your feet and make sure you have a good shoe?
