This is beautiful campground nestled in the Uwharrie forest. It is about 4 miles back from 109 of which 1 mile is gravel road. There are no water hookups only elctric. Water can be obtained from one of the spigots around the loop or at the entrance to fill your tank. There are no other services available so bring all your necessities or you have to go to one of the stores along 109. Bathrooms and showers are aged but clean. Unfortunately sites are not maintained well by hosts so expect to clean your site and fire ring. I don't know if it is of lack of equipment or they choose not to do it.

Campground hosts were just about nonexistent. We lost power the first night and they Locked the restrooms! We had to drive around to the vault toilet at the boat ramp. We saw two different people ( one young lady and one older lady) the first day acting as host. So who was the Campground host? We arrived at 11:30 am and Noone answered the door at the host site. When we finally saw them (around 3 pm) the girl said "we must have been sleeping. " Later in the week I saw someone show up at noon and leave at 7 pm.

We normally stay at Badin Lake Campground. We love it there. We had to stay here due to it being booked up. Sadly this site isn't what we expected. The pits have never been cleaned out, there are a lot of dead tall trees, campsites are very small (site 33 barely had a spot for a tent) and the sites are all very close together.

Awesome camping site for rv and tents alike! Great trails. Good distance between sites. Very clean facilities. Recommended.

You check in at site 6 and there isn't a beach access.

If they fit without intruding on another campers site you are allowed. Also you are allowed to have tents in the wooded area around your site.
