I had a wonderful time with family. I am so glad everyone enjoyed the trip. Some amazing views and nature was so peaceful. It is such a pleasure to have experienced Island Packers Cruises. Thank you.

Took a boat trip to Santa Rosa and it was amazing. The weather was perfect and we had still waters. Praise God! We saw flying fish, dolphins, seals. The flying fish were definitely the highlight of the trip. On the island we got to swim with lots of leopard sharks. Definitely a trip worth taking.

Everyone from the Island Packers to the rangers and the tour guides seem to work closely together. The common goal apparently is to preserve this little garden of eden and to show what we can accomplish if we work with nature, not against it. The boat ride alongside hundreds of dolphins was an unforgettable highlight. I could ride that ferry all day long everyday!

What an great trip across the channel today! Everything from check-in to debarking the Island Adventure went swimmingly! Choppy ride but they do give you the option to reschedule and give you a lot of heads-up about the rough conditions before hand. Best to get a sea sickness patches or grab a barf bag before sitting down. We slowed down to see a huge pod of dolphins as they speedily swam next to us as if to race us towards Santa Cruz Island. I got off at Prisoner’s Harbor (2nd stop on the island) and hiked what my watch said was 2.56 miles one-way to Pelican Bay on the Nature Conservancy part of Santa Cruz Island. The return part kicked my butt as the sun never gave up and I realized that I was running out of water. Bring extra as there’s no water on Santa Cruz Island (restrooms are available). The views, flora, and fauna were worth every breath though. The staff on the boats were incredibly helpful and friendly, which made the rough ride so much easier thru a choppy channel. Definitely recommend Island Packers for a jaunt out to one of the beautiful Channel Islands! Thanks, y’all!

Our minimum trip is 3 hours. It is a non-landing tour of Anacapa Island. The next time we have availability this coming Sunday, Oct 14th
Scorpion Anchorage has much more variety of difficulty levels for hiking. So, easy hikes are more prevalent at Scorpion :)
The most popular place to go hiking in the Channel Islands is in Santa Cruz. It is also a popular spot for cave kayaking in the Channel Islands. The island is the largest, closest, and has the most trails and opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts.
We hiked on Santa Cruz up to Cavern Point and on to Potato Harbour, in that short time we saw one of cat sized foxes and a peregrine falcon. Excellent day.
Its kinda far to walk. So, I would suggest a Lyft or Uber.
The boat was half capacity, this was before we entered the red tier couple days ago, there was approx 55 people on the boat and about 40 - 45 of them were day hikers we dropped off at Santa Cruz before we started our whale search.
You will need to contact them directly. https://islandpackers.com/
No showers on the islands and no showers at the mainland harbors either. You might find a beach with public showers near by if your drive home is super far.
I would bring a jacket/sweatshirt. The ride can get a bit cool.
The bigger boat we went on wasn't super packed they went pack the boat...there was prob like 20 people on channel islands boat. Best whale watching tour ever ! We saw three different whales and so so many of dolphins!!!
Yes senior discounts. Cost depends on which cruise you do. Go online to check and buy tickets.
They do, but still best to call for times, or check their facebook page.
I agree, I would call them to ask. Stay safe out there
