I worked here 16 years ago almost as my first job and the owners Kent & Lisa took a chance on me. They were always nice and great to me and towards me. Their food was great then and it is still amazing today. They are affordable too which is hard to find in today's society with such bad inflation. If you haven't ever tried Granny's County Kitchen I think you should if you are looking for a home cooked meal or a wonderful breakfast. Katelyn Secrest

I ate there years ago when I was about 12yrso, and it was under the original name. Me and the wife was riding the motorcycle and visiting old places and stopped to eat. And it was great. It brought back so many memories for me when my mom was alive. The waitress was very, very nice and professional. They was dressed good and looked clean. That is a big plus to me. I will definitely go back.

Way over priced Ever since they opened the restaurant in Hickory they have went up like they are a 5 star at best on a good day is a 3!!! My husband and I got breakfast I ordered a egg sandwich and he got a fried steak with gravy and 3 eggs not the whole meal they offer of Grandpas and was charged more separate The lady never even told us that and it was 22.00 I was SHOCKED and very disappointed in the quality of food for that price I asked for double egg paid for it only got one and literally got a tablespoon of gravy on his steak!! I don't know what has happened but Your better off going to McDonald's

First time visiting. Was on a roadtrip and saw signs for this place so I decided to stop. Was seated immediately not that busy and we'll staffed. Before I even ordered I heard several customers complaining about service and orders not being right. Staff was apologetic but people were not happy. My drink order was taken and my diet drink was not available even though it was on the menu. No problem as others were. Waitress apologized. Another waitress came around and I ordered the fried green tomatoes. Order came but no napkins or silverware was given. Ordered the meatloaf, pinto beans and corn nuggets. Everything was good but that was the smallest meatloaf I've ever been served. Had to finally ask for napkins, none on tables and silverware. Waitress refilled drink once and asked if everything was okay when I had my mouth full. Never came back again to offer dessert or give me check. She walked by several times but would always seem to have her back to me. Finally I went to register without check. Service was friendly going in but Granny needs to teach the staff better customer service. I could see why customers were complaining. I tripped well as I was glad to support a small business and have a break for a good meal after a long day on the road but staff need to make sure orders are correct coming out and check on customers more than once and then ignore them.
