The service was very good. We went on Friday so it was crowded which is normal for the area. The is relaxing and family friendly. It Southern cooking ribs, brisket, fried green tomatoes fried chicken. It was good but needed chicken bland to me. I would go back. The ribs was very good.

I visited this place for the first time with a group celebrating a friends birthday at Brunch. Our server Mike was great, as was his server in training Lee (Leigh) - and though we had to wait for refills on the bottomless mimosas at time, they more than made up for it by being attentive and providing great service. So… Lets start with the good. The service is great, the bathroom is clean, and the mimosas are strong - sadly thats where my accolades end. The food is ABYSMAL. Imagine opening a can you of wet cat food, sniffing it, and then mixing it with gravy and pouring it over a biscuit. That’s the vibe that the sausage gravy gave me, and yes it made my stomach tumble. The chicken breasts were inconsistent across the table. The Chicken and Waffles chickens were all salty (as hell), while the Hot Fried Chicken chickens were completely under seasoned and the “Nashville Hot Sauce” won’t hot at all. The collards tasted like vinegar, the eggs tasted as though they came from a carton, and the waffles were tough. ANDDDDDD I don’t know who told them that putting pickles and picked onions atop an egg was a good idea - but the madness must stop. Overall - I’d come back here and sit at a table to have Mike bring me drinks. I loved the diversity in the staff, and that I never felt out of place in the restaurant.

First-time trying this restaurant for brunch. We all got the Hot Fried Chicken. It was very delicious! I usually pass on bread, but those biscuits are AMAZING! My son substituted the egg with sautéed spinch. The drinks were good too! The Shoo Fly Punch is really refreshing, the Spike Peach Tea is sweet but really, really good! I will be going back to check out the dinner menu. They have outdoor patio dining and it's near the water, nice scenery and atmosphere.

Very nice ambiance, location and lot's of space. Service was fast and on point. There are lot's of window so the lighting is amazing when the day is shinny and happy. We went ahead and had the bottomless mimosas for 24 dollars, good! and then we went and ordered the chicken and biscuit (yum!), for those who want something healthier the vegetable omelette hit the spot and then we also had a shrimp plate, forgot what exactly it was, but amazing. I would say the highlight was the biscuit. Great price as well and since it's located by the water, you can go ahead and take a stroll to bring the food down.

Parking here is like downtown D.C. This restaurant sits in the Nationals Stadium - Navy Yard cluster. I hope you're able to find something.
