They charged me for 12 months rent, but I could only actually live there 11 months due to mandatory move in and move out dates that limited first and last month. The washer was broken for over a month before they replaced it. Then they charged me $362 for paint and carpets that were already damaged when I moved in. Edit: this information is 100% accurate and it is illegal to charge tenants for normal wear and tear. They bank on tenants not knowing this or lacking the resources to fight them on it.

Washing machine was broken for almost two months before being fixed, despite Maintenance coming into our apartment loudly at 8:00 AM 3 times a week and pulling it out of the wall. I also received some ridiculous charges after move out. They charged me $500 to replace carpets that were already worn when we moved in, and $320 for paint that we reported as damaged when we first moved in.

I am currently a resident at The Standard and can't see myself anywhere else! The amenities are incredible and the staff is made up of the nicest people I've ever met. They always have a smile on their face no matter the time of day. Would recommend The Standard at Charlottesville to anyone!

I currently am a resident at the Standard and I love living here! The amenities are amazing, including the rooftop pool and tanning bed. The apartment complexes are also newly renovated and compared to other apartments are in much better condition. The staff are also very friendly and super accommodating if we have maintenance issues
