We went for the 4th of July weekend so it was busier than most weekends which we kept in mind. Owners and staff were very friendly. Lake was warm and pretty clean (it is a lake). Pool was at the owners house and was a decent walk from the campsites whichnisnt ideal with a 2 year old. Our 2 yo loved the playground and jump pad. We did take out a paddle boat... nothing to exciting as there isnt really anywhere to go but the little one liked it. Camp sites are pretty close together so you dont have much space between you and your neighbors. We stayed at site 33 which said "nice sunset view". That was a bit of a stretch... id rather have an honest answer vs fluffy words that hype up your expectations. Restrooms were pretty clean... it was a busy weekend. Dump station is RIGHT behind a campsite so I wouldnt want to camp at that site. FYI, If you plan on visting the main attractions of Hocking Hills - Old Mans Cave, Ash Cave, Cedar Falls, etc. these are a 20-30 min drive from this campground. I dont feel it was worth $100 per night but, overall it was a good experience for a few days.

Our first experience staying at a Yogi Bear campground & we all loved it. Although our cabin was very hot the first 2 days with the AC on, as soon as I mentioned it to the owners son the Owner came & cleaned the AC filters & that fixed the issue. The pond was awesome the people were awesome & everyone was friendly. The playground, bounce pad & gaga ball kept the kids entertained. I also brought my doggy with for her first time & she loved it & the kids loved her. We will most definitely be back!!

The park itself is very pretty and clean but that is about it for the positives. We arrived Wednesday evening, check in was supposed to be available until 9pm we arrived at 730 and the "Ranger Station" was closed. It remained closed until Friday despite the hours on the the door stating otherwise. Thursday we started to explore the grounds, on the map it shows peddle cars so we made are way up to the track with our boys and dogs b/c the rules say you can't leave animals alone in your camper, only to discover the peddle track doesn't exist (Still under construction) and to have our dogs attacked by the owners dogs. (Our dogs are fine) They also had peddle boats on the lake, we new all the swimming activities were over for the year but when you see the little boats you think ok that will be fun. Nope they weren't planning on opening the boat house for rentals despite again the signs saying otherwise. Needless to say we made the best of our weekend but have no plans to return.

Very quiet park with many free activities for kids. Need to have another bathroom closer to pond or at least by the check in station. Also when describing the different spots make sure that people know they are in the grass with no pad or decent gravel to park the camper on. We were lucky it was dry or it would of been a hard time getting camper back up the incline when pulling out. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would probably come back.
