This is based solely on the Blacksburg location, and is based on the most recent visit. Normally we've had good experiences here, and at other locations. However, this time we had a long wait from the time we being seated until having food in front of us. I typically have three expectations for a waiter: serve my food warm/cold as appropriate, keep my drink full, and don't hover. I don't want to bust on the waiter too much. I think they were short staffed and he was doing his best. But it took a good 30 minutes to get our food and I sat with an empty glass for about 15 minutes. It could have been the one time, and I'll try it again next time I'm in town. The food was fine, so I can't complain about the quality. If the next experience is better, I'll amend this review.

Sandwiches and salads are awesome! I love the French onion soup! Great place to have lunch with friends!

Preface: our waitress Ashlee was great, she was attentive and apologetic. Totally happy with her. That being said, party of 6 arrived at 12:55 pm. Waited by hostess stand for 10 minutes before someone came by. The line was backed out the door by the time we got seated. There was oil on the table and spilled drink on the floor. Waitress came and took our drink order, brought drinks and took our food order. Waited over an hour for food to show up. Other tables came and went while we waited. Was not impressed.

Such a cool place to visit! We met another couple and had some great food, including my choice of the Mac and Cheese with chicken and broccoli with garlic bread. It just melted in my mouth!

You must wear a mask while entering, exiting and walking signs the restaurant. Staff wear masks at all times and sanitize surfaces between guests. They also offer hand sanitizer.
Yes, you can make reservations
The original Macado's was across the street, between the grocery store and the Post office. That was in the 1980's. I think it was the early 90's when it moved to its present location and the grocery store expanded.
