Perfect place to stop on your way up the mountain. Very knowledgable staff and prices are much more reasonable than at the top. I'd you're into custom-fitted boots for a comfortable yet professional fit, they have the best guy on the east coast... seriously. I'd you're renting gear, getting through here is waaay faster than anywhere else. There is also a brewery next door in case you get thirsty.

The nicest people on earth. The people that work here are incredibly accommodating and patient. The shop itself has reasonable prices, quality souvenirs and a decent selection of quality gear. You also can't beat their gear rental prices, especially since they are on Snowshoe. Also the gear that my family rented was top notch and well taken care of. I highly recommend this choice over others in the area. I wouldn't believe that people could be any nicer than these folks.
