I have had numerous terrible experiences here, it is unfortunate that it even exists. The only redeeming quality are some of the staff, I suggest if you have any other options for recieving care take those.

Am still trying to get assigned a care physician. Really can't give you much detail on how they operate as I've been waiting 22 days to make an appointment. Very friendly on the phone. I called to make an appointment and they said someone would call me to set that up. Told me to call back in 7-10 days if I haven't heard anything. I called back 10 days later and again very friendly. This time they said I'm in que but to call back in 3 days if I haven't heard anything. I gave them another 12 days (22 total) and today I was told no idea when I'll get called to make an appointment. I've heard good things about this VA hospital but right now it's looking like every other one I've been involved in. Trying to be patient.

This V.A. Hospital has had a complete face-lift! Newer Offices; Older ones relocated; Increase Staff; Different Hospital Guidelines and Regulations. The parking lot was extended and resurfaced. The WHOLE Campus is Now "Smoke-Free" AND the Grounds are Beautifully Landscaped. When you're there...just about "Anyone" or the "Volunteers" will assist you in helping you find; where you need to go.

VA does not provide informed consent when testing for Covid in the parking lot nor in the Urgent Care. Informed consent isn't a nurse breezing into a room and just doing the test without any questions allowed. When a veteran seeking psych help and has memory loss, this is unconscionable.
