I've had scary chest pains on and off in the past month. I've had Costochondritis before and I know the difference in pain. Not once did they ask me about my family background, where high cholesterol and heart disease run heavily in my genes; and after expressing my concerns about my Nexplanon birth control, they contributed my pain to acid reflex. I woke up at 4am with sudden sharp pains in my chest, and they still told me I had nothing to worry about. my third time in they told me to come back if it still hurt!!! And that's what they said the first two times. The chest pains subsided for bit, but then came HORRIBLE menstrual cramps. I haven't had my period in over a year because of the birth control. I felt like someone was scraping my insides. They told me I had nothing to worry about and if it still hurt to come back. I even told them uterine fibroids run in my family as well, yet still no urgency. I am still experiencing chest pains and cramps.... the cramps now on week 2!! I am switching doctors and never going back to Dr. Collins. In addition to that, every time I went she always seemed like she was in a hurry.
