The owner, Liz is a wonderful human of upstanding character. She brought me a beautiful plate full of home made cookies for promoting her business and helping a guest find the B&B as he just had a flip phone, no google map.

Well, just give me a few MONTHS to write this! :-) My sister and I visited this fantastic B&B last February (2021). SO fun! Liz and Darryn felt like family immediately. The food was indescribable...incredible! This is the perfect place to get away. During our stays, we hiked at the Chiricahua National Monument, one of the National Park Service's hidden gems. DO IT! Thank you, Darryn and Liz for a MUCH needed and perfect getaway. You ROCK! ~Amy

There are some innkeepers who try hard to have great customer service and then there are those that just naturally exude hospitality and excellent customer service - Darryn and Liz are in the second category - they are simply great, great hosts! Down By The River is a jewel! The place is spotless, homey, comfortable, interesting and the breakfasts are fantastic! The first morning we had bruleed grapefruit with chicken and waffles. The waffles were light and fluffy and the chicken had a light breading with a hint of heat. The second morning was sweet potato and sausage hash with baked eggs and the most delicious homemade cinnamon roll - Oh my! It was SO good. And then in the evening there were delicious treats homemade by Liz! This place is off the beaten path but it is so worth the drive!

This BnB is a hidden gem in southern AZ! I was down for business and found it on a Google Maps search... my clients didn't even know that it existed. Darryn & Liz were the most awesome of hosts and their place was roomy, clean & comfy. My room was spacious, although I spent most of my free time in the common area... provided with Satellite TV, pool table, and shuffle board table. Oh, and there is so much available to do outside... from hammocks, to fire pits... and a pit and seating area down by the river! The breakfasts were beyond words... best described as delicious and healthy portions... coffee, smoothies, & a gourmet breakfast... bravo! 5 stars all around, and my new go-to when traveling to Cochise County!
