My Experience Was The Best Experience I've Had All My Adult Life... I'm Truly Grateful To Have Come To A Place I Actually Called Home For 7 Months Because That's The Only Way Staff Would Have It.. I Can Say If U Don't Feel What I Felt During Your Stay There Then Maybe You Might Want To Consider Humbling Yourself A Lil More.. IJS . I've Been Housed Now For A Week So On Behalf Of My 9yr. Old Daughter (Aminah) And My 5yr. Old Son (Mister) We Thank EACH n EVERYONE Of Staff And Residents Included For Helping To Bring Us Back Together In A GOD Bless Place We Can Again Call Home...

Don't call it a homeless shelter. Here the staff is professional, the officers are solid and in sync, the case managers are on the case. As a former client and graduate (for lack of a better term), all that it is promised is given and if all that is given is used, then one can find their way to self-reliance. Am very grateful to MSI.

MSI is a wonderfully helpful place to live, while reconfiguring one's life. The incredibly compassionate staff, are dedicated to guiding we male residents into self chosen career paths, while professionally informing, assisting and guiding us towards all available resources we otherwise would not have been aware of. A case manager is soon assigned to each individual, and a rational plan for the person is discussed and personally formulated with realistic achievable goals. Stable permanent housing is usually first on the list, thereby ending homelessness. Having been to several other similar shelters, i would advise the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors to absolutely use MSI as THE MODEL PROGRAM for all others, since a high success rate is the fundamental goal all involved diligently work towards.

There are showers available on the 1st and 2nd level restroom, five showers each floor including ADA. Restrooms were entirely remodeled in Aug 2018. They're cleaned 3x daily. As long as you are a client and there is no mandatory meeting or workshop, one may shower when a stall is ready. I've not heard complaints of being too well showered.
I'm just come to San Jose, please I need a place to sleep, can you help me please?

Its a shelter for homeless no rentals 271-5160. If u have any questions
Give me a call later at 408-599-6033 and we will try to figure out something to help you and your family
Montgomery Street Inn is for men only, there are however other shelters which can accommodate families.
While i was there i knew of a guy who got daily work through a day labor agency nearby and they placed him at Tesla in Fremont. To my knowledge MSI does not have a day labor place unless they've added one recently. You have to call in, ask if beds are available, express your need and keep calling for 2-3 days if nothing is immediately available. Once you are allowed to enter you will meet with staff and have a one on one orientation. Everything you need to know at that moment will be explained and then you'll be given a bed in bunk bed setting for your first three months. If you do well in your first 90 days then you will be moved into your own more private room with a privacy curtain. Yes, you must check back in and check out everyday by signing the written log. (Easy!) Everyone is assigned a chore but not everyone completes the assignment they were given. Those are usually the guys who dont survive the program and are asked to leave.
Yeah, Jose Arias has got it right. Like Jose says and bug them every day. squeaky wheel gets greased. Forgot to mention I'm at MSI, This is a great place. Wish you luck.
