In modern cars, the keys have an electronic chip inside. If you copy the key without the chip, the car won't start. These are somewhat expensive, but some makes allow programming of a new key if you have an original. Also, minute key only does house and padlock keys. Car keys (as far as I know) require you to go elsewhere. If you just needed a key to get into the car and not start it, they are fairly inexpensive but need to be done elsewhere.
